Welcome to all who have come today to worship the Lord! 

Visitors: we are glad you are here to worship Christ with us.  You are welcome to stay for a fellowship lunch here in the sanctuary following the morning worship service.

Today we continue the new monthly tradition of providing opportunity for a brief time of discussion and Q&A about the sermon after morning worship and before lunch.  This time we will gather in the front rows of chairs by the piano, in the front of the sanctuary.  All are welcome to come and discuss, ask questions, or just listen!

In the evening service, we begin a two-sermon series from Romans 8, on the 5th doctrine of grace: Perseverance of the Saints.  (The second sermon will be tomorrow evening, New Year’s Eve, at 7:00 pm.)  Please come, as these passages are very comforting and encouraging for you. 

Prayer and Praise
Praise the Lord for giving the Bible, which if we diligently meditate on and read, we will know the way to eternal life, wisdom for daily life, and fellowship with God.  What an awesome gift, in a world of darkness!  Pray that you will have the grace to devote yourself to reading and meditating on the Word of God (Psalm 1). 

Pray for those with health trials, that the Lord will grant spiritual strength, comfort, faith, and physical healing and relief:

Announcements

The New Year’s Eve service will be tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm.  Please come and celebrate the passing of another year and the beginning of a new year by worshipping Christ together! 

Education Hour will begin again next Sunday.  Please come for singing to Jesus Christ at 9:45 am, and then classes begin at about 10:00 am.
