| Sunday December 2, 2007 Welcome to all who have come today to worship the Lord! Our worship takes the form of a conversation between God and us. At every point in the worship service, either God is speaking to us oe we are speaking to God. God speaks to us in the call to worship, the opening greeting, the reading of Scripture, the proclaiming of God's wod, and the closing blessing. We respond to God by praying to Him, by singing songs to Him, by giving our gifts for His kingdom, and by listening reverently when he speaks. May worship today be a time of fellowship between the holy, allpowerful, loving God and us: His unworthy, sinful, yet deeply loved and forgiven people. For the sake of your spiritual growth and fellowship with Jesus Christ, you are all encouraged to come to the evening service, where this weekwe continue to study the doctrines of grace - Biblical teachings that powerfully show the amazing grace of God in saving a sinful people. They include unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistable grace, perseverance of the saints, and today total depravity. |
