Welcome to all who have come today to worship the Lord! 

In the morning service, we are looking at the glory of Jesus Christ in His transfiguration, and what that glory means for your life.

In the evening service, we begin a series on the doctrines of grace (also known as the five points of Calvinism). Today we will look at the Biblical doctrine of unconditional election. Please come and worship and be blessed in the evening service.

Prayer and Praise
Gertie Kempema was admitted to hospital overnight this past week with the flu. Continue to remember her and Oscar in your prayers.

Bill Hekman Sr. is scheduled for surgery on Monday November 19. Pray that all will go well, and that the Lord will give Bill all he needs, physically and spiritually.

Jean Nieuwstraten’s sister Barbara Dykstra was called to glory on Friday morning. Praise the Lord for her testimony and pray for comfort for Jim & Jean and the family.

Praise the Lord for the opportunity to serve and work in the community, including the volunteers at Simonka place and the neighborhood leaf clean-up yesterday. Pray that He will work powerfully to bring many people nearer to Christ both through organized efforts and your own daily witness.

Pray earnestly for God’s grace upon those who have no love for Christ, and those who are living in unrepentant sin. May the God of love and power display this love and power in reviving them.

There will be a Thanksgiving Day worship service on November 22, at 10:00 am.

Beginning next Sunday, we will conclude our congregational prayers with a corporate “Amen”. Details will be provided in an informational paper in your boxes.
