Our Worship Services
Welcome to all who have come today to worship the Lord!

Today following the morning worship service we will have lunch together here in the sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to say for lunch! Following the morning worship and before lunch, there will be an opportunity to discuss the sermon (or previous sermons) and ask questions - come and meet at the front of the sanctuary by the piano.

One goal of worship is to give God the glory He deserves. Pray that as we worship today, we will give God glory by:

  • -praising Him with sincere joy
  • -praying with humility and faith
  • -truly repenting of all our sins
  • -truly putting our trust in Christ alone
  • -giving cheerfully
  • -actively listening and desiring His word to conform us to Christ

Prayer and Praise

Praise God for His electing love, in choosing a people to be saved before the foundation of the world. Praise Him for supplying the mercy and power to cause you to persevere in Christ forever.

Pray that you will be an ambassador for Jesus Christ - that God will speak through you in everything you say, both to fellow believers and to unbelievers.

Praise God that Bob and Barb Moss are planning to come home to Oregon this Thursday afternoon! What a great God to bring this to pass! Pray for God's continuing protection and bWelcome to all who have come today to worship the Lord!

About 1,975 years ago, Jesus Christ died, rose again, ascended into heaven, became eternal king of the universe, and sent the Holy Spirit.  Today is Pentecost – 50 days after the resurrection of Christ, 10 days after Christ’s ascension, the day when Christ poured out the Holy Spirit to gather lost sinners into a church destined for eternal glory.

We are such sinners – forgiven, saved, gathered into Christ’s church and destined for eternal glory.  Rejoice today with loud and joyful praises!  Christ is awesome!

Prayer and Praise
Praise the Lord for eternal life!  What an incredible thing – to live forever in perfect joyful fellowship with Christ!  Let this knowledge be a foundation of joyful praise in your life!

Pray for the ongoing exploration of possibly planting a church in West Linn.

Pray for Corey Tucker.  On Tuesday Corey wrote from Iraq: “Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to the Church for all of their support… I look forward to seeing everyone again soon… I will be home in the states soon, and then in Oregon about a month later.  I should be spending about three weeks at home in Oregon through July…. Thank you and keep us in your prayers.”

Continue to pray for those who face medical trials:
· Oscar and Gertie Kempema – Gertie has alzheimers
· Stan Sipley, who has much pain and weakness
· Rose Lindgren – Rose is at Marian Estates, and improving – praise the Lord!
· Bob and Barb Moss, who are back in Arizona for a few weeks – pray that the upcoming brain scan will show complete healing.  Pray for continued peace and joy in Christ.
